Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones the Sayang Home website uses, and how you can manage them. We've kept the language as plain as possible — if anything is unclear, feel free to contact us.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves onto your device — your phone, tablet, or computer — when you visit. They help the website remember things about your visit, like whether you've already seen the cookie notice, or what settings you chose.

They don't contain personal information on their own and can't run programs on your device. Most websites use them in some form.

A simple way to think about it

Imagine a notepad that the website leaves on your device. Next time you visit, the website reads that notepad and knows you've been before. You can erase that notepad at any time by clearing your cookies in your browser.

2. Cookies We Use

The Sayang Home website uses four categories of cookies. Only the first category is strictly necessary — the rest are optional and you can turn them on or off using the controls further down this page.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Sayang Home site are set by third-party services we use. These companies have their own privacy and cookie policies — we don't control how they handle the data their cookies collect.

4. How Long Cookies Last

Session Cookies

These exist only for the length of your browsing session. Once you close the browser tab or window, they are automatically deleted.

Persistent Cookies

These remain on your device for a set period — ranging from 30 days up to 2 years — or until you delete them manually. They allow us to recognise you on your next visit.

5. Manage Your Cookie Preferences

Use the toggles in Section 2 above to choose which cookie categories you accept. Then use the buttons below to save your choices. Your preferences are stored in your browser — if you clear your cookies, you'll be asked again.

Your choices are saved locally in your browser. Clearing your browser storage will reset these settings.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also manage or delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Here's how to do it in the most common browsers:

Google Chrome
  1. 1Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.
  2. 2Select Settings, then scroll to Privacy and security.
  3. 3Click Cookies and other site data.
  4. 4Choose to block all cookies, or click See all site data and permissions to delete cookies for specific sites.
Mozilla Firefox
  1. 1Click the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top-right corner.
  2. 2Select Settings, then click Privacy & Security.
  3. 3Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data to remove specific site cookies or Clear Data to remove all.
Apple Safari
  1. 1On a Mac: open Safari menu → PreferencesPrivacy. On iPhone/iPad: go to Settings → Safari.
  2. 2Click or tap Manage Website Data to see and remove cookies by site.
  3. 3You can also enable Block all cookies, though this may affect some site functions.
Microsoft Edge
  1. 1Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Edge.
  2. 2Go to Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and data stored.
  3. 3Choose See all cookies and site data to view or delete cookies by site, or toggle Block third-party cookies.

On mobile? Both Android (Chrome) and iOS (Safari) let you manage cookies through the browser settings app. Look for Privacy or Site settings in the browser's menu.

7. Your Rights

Under Malaysian personal data law (PDPA 2010), you have the right to know what data is being collected about you and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing cookie consent will not affect anything you've done on the site before withdrawing.

  • Right to withdraw consent: use the toggles above or clear your cookies in your browser at any time.
  • Right to access information: contact us and we'll explain what data third-party services may collect via cookies.
  • Effect of disabling cookies: essential cookies cannot be disabled. Turning off analytics cookies means we won't see how you use the site. Marketing cookies being off means you may see less relevant adverts elsewhere, but browsing the Sayang Home website won't change.
