1 Definitions
Throughout these Terms, the following words carry the meanings set out below:
"Sayang Home", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Sayang Home, a home assistance service provider registered and operating in George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
"Client", "you", or "your" means the individual or family representative who contacts us, signs up for, or uses any of our services.
"Services" means the home assistance arrangements offered by Sayang Home, including Daily Living Support Coordination, Caregiver Guidance Workshops, and Everyday Meal Planning & Grocery Coordination.
"Agreement" means these Terms & Conditions, together with any written service arrangement or confirmation exchanged between you and Sayang Home.
"Website" means the Sayang Home website accessible at https://sayanghom.live and any related pages.
2 Acceptance of Terms
By contacting Sayang Home to enquire about, book, or make use of our services, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or are acting as an authorised representative of a family unit;
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding arrangement;
- You have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services or this website. We may update these Terms from time to time — the version in effect on the date of your service arrangement will apply.
3 Service Description
Sayang Home provides household coordination and family support services to assist older adults living at home in the Penang region. Our current services are:
- Daily Living Support Coordination — light household task organisation, helper coordination, and family check-ins;
- Caregiver Guidance Workshops — plain-language sessions for family members covering routines, home setups, and communication;
- Everyday Meal Planning & Grocery Coordination — weekly menu planning and grocery delivery coordination.
Our services are available primarily in the George Town area of Pulau Pinang. Service availability in other parts of Penang or beyond is subject to prior discussion and confirmation.
Sayang Home provides coordination and organisational assistance only. We do not provide registered nursing, medical, social work, or other regulated professional services. Nothing we do constitutes professional health, dietary, or medical advice.
4 User Responsibilities
When using our services or this website, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when making enquiries or arrangements;
- Notify us promptly of any changes to the older relative's situation or household that could affect how services are delivered;
- Treat our team and any coordinated helpers with courtesy and respect;
- Make payments on time as agreed;
- Not use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive.
You must not attempt to access, copy, or scrape the content of this website in bulk, or use it for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
5 Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, layout, guides, session materials, and the Sayang Home name and mark — is the property of Sayang Home or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of it commercially without our prior written consent.
Printed guides and session recordings provided as part of the Caregiver Guidance Workshops are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. They may not be copied, shared publicly, or redistributed.
If you provide written feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use them to improve our services.
6 Payment Terms
6.1 Pricing
All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Current published prices are: Daily Living Support Coordination — RM 680 per package; Caregiver Guidance Workshops — RM 1,800 per series; Everyday Meal Planning & Grocery Coordination — RM 4,600 per month.
6.2 Payment
Payment is due as agreed in writing before or at the commencement of the service arrangement. We accept payment via bank transfer or such other methods as we may confirm at the time of booking. All payment details will be shared in writing.
6.3 Cancellations and Adjustments
We understand that family situations change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible. Cancellations made with at least 5 business days' notice before the first scheduled session or delivery will receive a full credit towards a rescheduled arrangement.
For ongoing monthly services, adjustments to scope can be discussed at any time. Any reduction in service scope that results in a price change will take effect from the following monthly cycle.
7 Service-Specific Terms
7.1 Daily Living Support Coordination
We coordinate household helpers and task scheduling based on a plan agreed with you. Changes to the household routine should be communicated to us with reasonable notice so that the task list can be adjusted. We do not directly employ household helpers; our role is organisational and coordinating.
7.2 Caregiver Guidance Workshops
Workshop content is provided for general family guidance only and does not constitute professional medical, nursing, or social work advice. Session recordings and printed materials are for your personal reference. The follow-up question allowance is subject to fair use and intended for clarification of workshop content.
7.3 Meal Planning & Grocery Coordination
Menu plans are suggestions based on the preferences you share with us and are not a substitute for professional dietary advice. We coordinate grocery delivery through third-party services; we are not responsible for the availability, pricing, or quality of goods supplied by those services.
8 Disclaimers
Our services are provided on a reasonable-care basis. We do not promise specific outcomes — every family and household is different, and what works well in one situation may need adjustment in another.
Nothing on this website or provided as part of our services constitutes professional health, nursing, medical, dietary, or legal advice. Families dealing with complex health or safety needs should consult appropriately qualified professionals.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is free from errors or that it will be continuously available.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or connected with our services or this website shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of opportunity, loss of savings, or loss arising from third-party service failures (such as grocery delivery providers).
We are also not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, infrastructure disruptions, or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been anticipated.
10 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sayang Home, its team members, and associated parties harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our services, or any false or misleading information you provide to us.
11 Termination
Either party may end a service arrangement by giving reasonable written notice. What constitutes "reasonable" will depend on the service type — for ongoing monthly services, we ask for at least two weeks' notice. For a workshop series that has not yet started, five business days' notice is sufficient.
We reserve the right to stop providing services immediately if you breach these Terms in a material way and have not addressed the issue within a reasonable period after we have raised it with you.
Clauses relating to intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution will survive termination.
12 Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from them or from the provision of our services shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
Before resorting to formal proceedings, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve any disagreement through direct discussion. Please contact us first at [email protected] — most concerns can be resolved quickly through a straightforward conversation.
Where direct discussion does not resolve the matter, the parties may, by mutual agreement, refer the dispute to mediation under a recognised Malaysian mediation framework before commencing litigation.
13 General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any written service confirmation, constitute the full agreement between you and Sayang Home. They replace any previous informal discussions or understandings.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable by a court, that part will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms will remain in full force.
Waiver
If we do not enforce a right we have under these Terms on a particular occasion, that does not mean we have waived that right for the future.
Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without our prior written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor entity, provided the level of service to you is not materially affected.

14 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify existing clients.
Your continued use of our services after updated Terms have been posted will be taken as your acceptance of those changes.
